In this this, we represented young boy (now 8-years-old) that was injured during an inguinal hernia repair at 3 weeks old. We alleged that during the hernia repair surgery, microscopic damage occurred to the arteries supplying blood to the testicles. As a result, the testicles have not developed normally, and our client will need lifelong testosterone replacement therapy and will likely be infertile.
Through an extensive investigation with many experts including surgeons, urologists, endocrinologists and life care planners, we were able to able to figure out what likely happened during the surgery, how it could have been prevented, and what our client’s long term medical needs will require.
This is a very important settlement for this young boy and his family because now they will have the necessary money to take care of any of his future medical needs.
