Passen & Powell attorney, Matthew A. Passen, was recently recognized by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin for his efforts as Co-Chair of Law Week for the Chicago Bar Association, in soliciting nominations for the Liberty Bell Award. The CBA’s Liberty Bell Award is given each year to a non-attorney who has rendered service that strengthens the effectiveness of the American system of freedom under law.
Mr. Passen is organizing a Judge’s Reception to be held at the Chicago Bar Association next month in honor of Law Week, in which all Illinois circuit court, appellate court, federal district court and Seventh Circuit appellate court judges are invited to attend. At the reception, a judge will announce the winner of the Liberty Bell Award.
Mr. Passen is currently serving as a Special Projects Coordinator for the Young Lawyers’ Section of the CBA. Beginning in June, he will begin a two-year term as Co-Editor in Chief of the YLS Journal publication.
