According to recent news reports, eleven people — 10 bus passengers and the bus driver — were injured in a CTA bus accident on the southwest side of Chicago. The accident occurred around 7:30 am yesterday morning in the 2500-block of South Ashland.
Reports indicate that the northbound No. X9 “Ashland Express” CTA bus jumped over a curb and then struck a light pole, injuring eleven people, including the bus driver. According to initial reports, two people were in serious condition, eight were in fair condition, and one in good condition. The CTA and the police are investigating the accident.
