We represented a registered nurse who developed a bacterial infection, which was misdiagnosed by her primary care physician as pneumonia. She was prescribed the wrong antibiotics and, as a result, developed endocarditis. She required heart valve replacement surgery, and was unable to return to work as a nurse.
